EasyAnimate

Method overview: EasyAnimate’s pipeline — caption cleanup, VAE latents, a Qwen2-VL-conditioned DiT, then reward post-training.

Alibaba PAI DiT video family. WorldFoundry wraps the V5.1 I2V runtime; InP weights are image-conditioned, non-InP is text-to-video.

EasyAnimate is Alibaba PAI's Diffusion Transformer video stack — text-to-video, image-to-video, video-to-video, and (upstream) trajectory / camera control. The paper is EasyAnimate: High-Performance Video Generation Framework with Hybrid Windows Attention and Reward Backpropagation. Code lives at aigc-apps/EasyAnimate. WorldFoundry's in-tree route is the V5.1 image-to-video wrapper; WRBench camera-control evaluation reuses that same independent runtime instead of checking out the GitHub tree.

The card that WorldFoundry actually wraps is V5.1: Qwen2-VL as the text encoder (multilingual; Chinese and English strongest) and Flow matching instead of the older noise scheduler. Official V5.1 checkpoints predict about 1–49 frames at 8 fps, at 512 / 768 / 1024. The WorldFoundry I2V default is 768×1344, 49 frames, 8 fps, Flow sampler, guidance 6.0, writing easyanimate-i2v.mp4. The usual misconfiguration is mixing families: *-InP weights (for example EasyAnimateV5.1-7b-zh-InP) are the image-conditioned demos; EasyAnimateV5.1-7b-zh without InP is text-to-video.

What it is for

Animate a still with the in-tree V5.1 I2V path: prompt + image in, easyanimate-i2v.mp4 out through EasyAnimateI2VPipeline. Aliases easyanimate_i2v and easyanimate-i2v resolve here. Height / width map to sample_size. Use non-InP weights only when you deliberately want text-to-video.

WRBench camera control rides this runtime, so CameraBench is the control suite; general clip quality is VBench. Neither is an ingested WorldFoundry leaderboard.

Runtime contract

Required inputs: prompt and image. Optional: video. actions is seed. Catalog tasks include text-to-video, image-to-video, and video-to-video; the wired WorldFoundry demo is I2V on the InP family. Control-to-video and camera-trajectory weights exist upstream; this catalog card does not claim those pipelines are wired.

Running in WorldFoundry

Integration is recorded; runner and demo parity are pending. A command that starts is not a checkpoint-backed GPU artifact in this workspace. Launch worldfoundry-eval run easyanimate with the I2V-oriented InP weights (alibaba-pai/EasyAnimateV5.1-7b-zh-InP, staged under $WORLDFOUNDRY_CKPT_DIR/hfd/alibaba-pai--EasyAnimateV5.1-7b-zh-InP) in worldfoundry-unified-cu128 (Python 3.11, CUDA 12.8). Related cards include EasyAnimateV5.1-12b-zh. Missing checkpoints are reported at runtime, not downloaded.

Minimal eval

The wired demo is V5.1 I2V (*-InP). Score that folder on VBench custom_input / aesthetic_quality — vbench_standard names do not apply. Read aesthetic_quality. Runner parity is pending.
